Nikon 50mm 1.8's are going for dirt cheap these days, not sure what you're shooting with, though.Jess - Healthy Exposureshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04365542716177989322noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3083873217810883764.post-27100575049000382352010-01-28T18:22:27.039-08:002010-01-28T18:22:27.039-08:00Not greek to me! I'm going to try an overhead desk lamp to see it'll look better.
I'm dying for a 50mm lens! Sadly I'm poor!

Polenta with mustard COULD be delicious!Karlahttp://foodologie.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3083873217810883764.post-81515525289976198952010-01-28T17:23:27.280-08:002010-01-28T17:23:27.280-08:00Aw, thank you! And ugh - I wish I knew the answer ...Aw, thank you! And ugh - I wish I knew the answer to your question! haha. Same goes for me - you can SO tell when I'm using natural light, and when there's no daylight for me to use...I can't wait for it to be light really early and dark really late again, haha. I use natural light for breakfast on days that I don't have work, weekends, lunch on the weekends, etc...but when it comes to dinner and breakfast on workdays, I've got to just use the overhead in our kitchen. Luckily, it's not a really awful fluorescent light, but daylight is still TONS better. Having a fast lens really helps, though - I'm using a 50mm f/1.8, which at least helps with the blur factor, since I can use a faster shutter speed and pretty much eliminate blurriness. Not too sure how familiar with camera settings & such you are - so just tell me if that's Greek to you! I also have a flash attachment with a diffuser, but haven't played with that yet to see if it helps. I'm not serious enough about it to rig up a light-box, either, lol. Maybe if I was a real, recipe-based food blogger, but not for this everyday sort of thing :P Whew, that was a ramble and a half, and I feel like I hardly answered your question!

I can't wait to try the mustard! I was really only looking to try cranberry mustard that i'd seen, but they were out (!), though I guess it was for the better, huh?

Glad I'm not the only one crazy for polenta and mustard. Well, maybe not together...that'd be kinda strange, which is surprising, coming from me ;)Jess - Healthy Exposureshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04365542716177989322noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3083873217810883764.post-56368030749630905712010-01-28T17:04:54.216-08:002010-01-28T17:04:54.216-08:00Ugh Jerky teachers suck!
